A 60-year-old man, Musa Gidado whose spouse and three kids have been kidnapped in Abaonigbe Odilu group, a suburb of Ilorin, Kwara State, has cried out for assist, saying the abductors have demanded N500 million ransom to launch the victims.
Gidado, nonetheless, added that after a variety of pleading, the abductors decreased the ransom to N100 million.
He instructed LEADERSHIP Sunday that his spouse and three kids have been kidnapped by gunmen who invaded their group at about 9:30am final Sunday.
He recounted how he escaped after the gunmen compelled the door of his home open.
“The gunmen got here round 9:30pm taking pictures sporadically into the air to scare folks away. They compelled the door of my home open and kidnapped my spouse and three kids. I managed to flee by a store hooked up to the home.
“The kidnappers initially demanded N500m ransom, but after a lot of pleading they have reduced the ransom to N100 million,” Gidado mentioned.
Gidado who mentioned he’s a petty dealer from a humble background, appealed to authorities in any respect ranges to come back to his support and rescue his household from the abductors’ den.
The head of Abaonigbe Odile group, Alh Jamiu Akanni who corroborated Gidado’s account of the incident, additionally appealed to the state authorities and safety businesses to accentuate efforts at rescuing the victims.
