Bandits have kidnapped 14 girls engaged on the farm of an Islamic instructor in Mekunjeri, Rafi Local Government Area of Niger State, and reportedly demanded meals provides from the victims’ households and the instructor for his or her launch.
LEADERSHIP gathered that the armed males invaded the farm on Sunday afternoon and kidnapped the ladies, who have been related to the Islamic faculty run by the instructor, recognized as a Malam.
Sources stated the bandits had contacted the Malam and the households of the kidnapped girls, demanding meals provides earlier than releasing the victims.
The calls for have raised issues over the protection of the ladies, who stay within the custody of their abductors.
When contacted, the Niger State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Wasiu Abiodun, stated he would confirm the main points of the incident and supply additional data.
“Let me find out the details and get back to you,” he stated.
